inCOPnegro: Aftermath is a dance theater performance about policing, safety, community, and healing. The project explores the questions, “what happens to a black community after police violence has happened? Once the news outlets leave, the viral videos aren't shared anymore, how does a community begin the process of healing?

I'm a part of a four person cast that premiered the show in Akron OH back in June (22nd, 23rd, 30th, July 1st). My character in the show is called "The Questioner." The songs on this project are what I created for the show, & they serve as the soundtrack for a character working through the nuance of being a hero or a villain throughout the story.

Some of you may remember the "Why Aren't You Famous Yet?" series from years ago, we're back with Part 4! The difference from the previous 3 is that this project is all original tunes. Still raw, gritty & lyrical though. Really excited to be back in this mode or showing my skills & releasing solo work consistently. Hope yall enjoy! - FT

The holidays are a struggle for a lot of us, esepcially those of us that are a way from their families & loved ones. I haven't had my favorite years the last few seasons, but I'm choosing to be grateful going forward & lean into the lonliness. I'm sure there's opportunities there that I've never been open to.

This song is kinda about that. I hope it brings you some warmth this season.

FIGHT is a song I've had for a few months that came out of the same creative vibe that "Longing" came from. I've just been wanting to make more music with big noisy anthemic drums & a little less predictable song structures. Songs that feel like the world we've been experiencing.

This year I learned about the moment Sinead O'Connor "ruined" her career speaking up for what she believed in. Thinking about how powerful that moment had to be in real time whether you agreed with her or not, & with only TV networks to recap what happened. It made me wonder if I'm doing enough in my everyday life, in every facet, & why I've been so hesitant lately as opposed to me earlier in my career.

The production drove me to say what I said here, & to push myself to do more, & do better in every way that I can. I hope it gives you whatever version of yourself that may help or inspire you today. - FT

GOLO is a collection of songs created for Gum-dip Theatre's "Three Countries, One Mother" production that premiered in July 0f 2022. "Three Countries, One Mother" examines the history and culture of the Bhutanese-Nepali-American people who were displaced from their homeland as part of the Bhutanese Refugee Crisis in the 1990s and early 2000s.

This collection of songs was inspired by the script, speaking with the actor Neema Bal & director Katie Beck, as well as research on the Nepali community & the TAMANG tribe.

A.P.C.Q. (formerly & Infinite Quest) & I are both from Willingboro NJ & have been working together since 2013. We created the 'Celebratory Screams..' & 'Childhood Summers..' albums together (they're on my Bandcamp) & have been in talks of making the 3rd album of the series for a while.

'Last Days' is from those sessions & one of the things I love about the music I get to make is that songs feel the way they're intended to when they drop. I hope the soundscape resonates with you. Back on my Boro shit!

I started this song back on April 16th, 2020.

My first thoughts were watching the outrage towards the stay at home orders, unemployment & the talk of American's rights. I was in no way thinking we would be shoved back into debates about the value of Black life. When George Floyd was killed, I watched & listened. I've done this for the past month & now I'm ready to speak, so here we are.

"West Hill" is an album that was created in 2019 as the soundtrack to Micah Kraus "A Reasonable Decline" exhibition for Akron Soul Train. The show ran from September 19th to October 17th. The album was only available to hear in the exhibition space until today, October 15th.

With this download, you'll also receive a few high res images of Micah's "A Reasonable Decline" show to vibe out to along with the music. The names of the images are below.

The album is named after my neighborhood in Akron Ohio. These songs have been my experiences living, working, & traveling from West Hill to Highland Square, to downtown & throughout many of the other 23 neighborhoods in Akron. The lyrics are from conversations I hear in offices, bars & on the street. The music is from every alley I pass through to every sound I hear from the ongoing construction in the city. Micah's art to me represents every feeling Akron has to offer & I wanted to make music to reflect that.

Part 1 of the Torres series. This is the first series of music that I've done all the writing and production. It's been on my list of things to do before my 20's ended. I'd like to think that the sounds/cadences/feelings I chose through this series will give you an idea of how I see music & my words.

I also know I think too much. So as always... Hope you enjoy these moments.
